pattypans are the best …
and for Nancy, I like to shred them and mix into a latke-like mixture of shredded potatoes, onions, egg, and flour (actually, I use the much-maligned but ever-useful Bisquick) … then pan fry in olive oil for a few minutes per side … Don likes them with apple sauce, I prefer sour creamLikeLike
