She beckons with her trailing grass threads and I have looked at her for a while now. Yes Maria, she is all about the dance and so I found some of my peaceful Celtic music and had it play in the background while I continued to gaze at her. The music I am listening to is Celtic music for relaxation and meditation. It is by Tim Janis and is called Forest Oak and here is what comes to me: there is a pull toward this doll, a deep sense of connection and I don’t know why but it may be because she fits the earth. She can be in a forest as well as here in the desert of New Mexico or in the mist and bog of my favorite place in Ireland, County Wicklow.
I have an analytical mind but I am also one who is fanciful, believes in the mystic, in the truth of folklore. Her hands raised above her head, not cowering, not in fear, but in the stage of letting go, flowing into being…LikeLike

Love these so much. No adequate words for how much or why. Wish our paths would have crossed in Ann Arbor.

Both dolls are so lovely. Full of movement. Catching a mood. Full of wisdom somehow. If you made them or a version of them now, what would they be? I wonder.

Her movement, filled with life and song. In her legs I see years of watching dance.

Mid-eighties to 1998. I actually lived outside of AA but spent a lot of weekends there roaming the shops and going to movies. I always wanted to live there but couldn’t afford to unless I wanted to get an apartment in the student district.
