Project 2025 seeks to destroy so many aspects of what make living in America so truly special:
If you are fortunate enough to be able to visit some of our national parks, national monuments, etc. you come away, amazed at the various beautiful ecosystems that exist in our country. I have been to Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain National Park, the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Sequoia National Park, Lassen National Park, Pinnacles, Haleakala National Park, Volcanoes National Park. Olympic National Park, Cherokee National Forest, Trail of Tears, Pecos, Santa Fe National Forest, Bandelier National Monument, Valles Caldera, Chaco Culture, National Historic Park, to name a few. Taking our 8 yr old twin grandchildren to Rocky Mountain National Park, the Grand Canyon and Yosemite, was a treasured experience that seven years later, they still speak of with awe and reverence.
We need these places to remain whole and undiminished for they hold history, teach us more than we realize about this land of ours, and ourselves. To my way of thinking, they enrich us with science as well as spirituality. I have always believed, as did my dear Dad, that our church was outdoors, in the woods and trees, grasses and wildflowers, rocks and mountains, rivers and streams, sea and sand and all the creatures that dwell in these places…LikeLike
