won't load,  but it was just of the faulty propane lines.   that DID get fixed but put a dent in my enthusiasm which wasn't much to begin with.   I took nothing.

Arrived at Alyssia's just after noon,  the cooking was well underway .    A   change had happen yesterday.   Jenny's man is given a turkey at his job.   The decision was made that the turkey would go to Jax's mother's house for her to create Thanksgiving there on Sunday.   but here,   it was a spiral ham.   ????    yes.   and it spiraled from there…the 3 young ones each made a variation of cornbread and a variation of Mac and cheese.   They took great pride.    I  helped stuff and wrap cheese filled jalapen0s and bacon,  Jenny  brought mashed potatoes,  sweet potatoes,  gravy   and an   Excellent    Green Bean Onion Ring casserole.  Jazmin,  the newest addition from the little yellow house next door,   Jeffrey's half sister from Michigan,  a fresh vegetable pasta.  Julian is now the pie man but that will be for Sunday.  Today,  Lemon Meringue and Cherry…store bought but GOOD.

and cooking just flowed into setting the picnic table outside under the carport and on into EATING and time went fast,  time for me to get back to do the evening feed before dark.   It was also Minnow's Big Day.   She came and was free in the yard.  She was thrilled.  She loves the kids so much.

so.   Thanks Giving.   2024   If it wasn't for the kids,  I think we would have passed.    But they were all  about it.  Not enough to be imprinted with Turkey,   but the Idea of it.    They loved being part of it.  They loved that we all sat around the table,  that they came around and served their cornbreads.   It was Good.   We saw/see that we      take care    of Each Other.   We are Family.  and we can improvise.  Next year,  I will"be"  roast root vegetables.  I wrote it on the calendar.

and now,   it's late.  Minnow is dreaming.   and I think of All Who Come Here.   How YOU too are Family.  How we take care of each other here.      I am thank Full.   for so much.     I WILL TAKE CARE.

Love and Love to US.   So Much.

It sounds like a lovely family day! That’s really what is most important about holidays I think…the gathering of family and friends.
