Grace…I went and read and was stilled and lifted. When I got to “Shall I keep my heart clenched protectively like a fist around my fear…” – my body quieted, hand on chest and breathed.
My blog is open again tonight.

And this is what I wrote to her – which wordpress won’t let me post 😦 WordPress is one of the ones I have been having trouble with. Darn. Maybe whe will see it here?

I came from Grace’s right away. Called to come.
Thank you, thank you, thank you
Perhaps the extra cheerful birdsong I heard today, which I told my J. was the song of Spring…perhaps it was the call for more singing altogether.
I will read this one again and again.

Dearest Grace – I opened your post this morning, looking forward to your wonderful words, and instead found this mirror. I can’t begin to tell you how much this means, how newly I see myself. I cannot thank you enough. Let’s all keep singing! Together we become such beautiful polyphonic music that … who knows? XXXXXXX

Margery I have the same problem that Nancy commented to .. I leave you comments but they don’t go through. WordPress has not been my friend! After reading your post and the comments here on Grace’s post I know that having just rejoined the Ukulele group that for different reasons I left some years ago already. Tomorrow will be my first time returning … it means 2 hours of singing and playing with many women that I’ve dearly missed. There are about thirty of us so even though my playing is rusty I be singing my heart out .. I know it is what my heart and spirit desperately needs. Thank you Grace 😘

Tina my heart just soared to learn that you are back with your Ukulele Women. We had met, sisters of the heart, having both lived in the islands, and the connection has become life long. You will surprise yourself by finding that you will not be rusty, it will all flow back through your gifted hands and voice and I will dance in honor of your return. Aloha and nani no oe (you are beautiful.)

I join you Margery,(left a comment on your blog) but my joining will not be in song for I sound like a choir of croaking frogs! and I know that we all love nature but my froggy singing, not so much! No, my joining you in music will be through dancing, swaying to and fro, stomping my feet, a bit of bump and grind, leaping and salsa strutting. Together, WE ALL will make strong, healing and magical music.

This hasn’t a great Friday so far but Margery’s post certainly lifted my spirits. I’m traveling to DC next week to advocate for those living with rare disease and have been feeling very hopeless about it. But this helps me to see this as an opportunity to “sing” – to raise my voice and speak out for others who can’t always speak for themselves.
Thank you all for ALWAYS uplifting each other.

As you uplift us Deb by speaking for those who are not able to speak their truths.Your honesty in feeling hopeless but never the less, going to DC, standing and facing, is an inspiration to us all. Thank you for having the strength and courage to do this.
