  • i thought there wasn't any,   or   hardly any this year.   It is usually in good community on the slope just down from the horse trailer.    I couldn't think why not.    But……i wasn't     looking.    Here,  in    profusion    just on down the way in Nogal's old forest….     Enough for several families.   High in vit. C.   So called because the gold miners used it to prevent and cure scurvy.   there's probably 4 times as much as in this view.   I'll look for the name the First People had.

    We call this claytonia. It grows exuberantly in our hoophouse and reseeds itself. Not yet though – still too cold.
