The richness in color and form fills me with a spirited warmth much needed and appreciated as I continue to battle a stomach flu that is showing me no mercy. Nancy’s comment about it being a prayer cloth gives me comfort.

Thinking the white specs on Old Oak were seeds, how surprised I was when enlarging the photo, I found that they are tiny rocks or pieces of rocks. So I sat with this and realized that this was fitting, the rocks for this tableau speaks to me of the cycles of season…how the Earth presents us with the old spirit guardians, the trees; how the disbursement of rocks, the flows of rivers and streams, the sweep of wild grasses, the depths of lakes, the majesty and strength of mountains, all tell the ancient and evolving story of our Earth.How no matter what comes, what changes may occur, nothing is truly diminished, all evolves in order to continue…and I take this thought in and simply, exhale…
