No words needed, I simply love this drawing.
At first, I was reminded of a drawing I saw at a Leonardo da Vinci exhibit at the Natural History Museum in New Mexico in 2019: “Leonardo da Vinci’s famous drawing, known as the “Vitruvian Man,” depicts a nude male figure inscribed within both a circle and a square, illustrating the ideal proportions of the human body based on the writings of the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius.”
But to me, your drawing is so much more, for she is Woman, rising, standing tall, even with pain, in the center of the sunflower, on either side, foliage, new life, growth…she is the Sun in the circle of seasons…LikeLike

Grace~ Glad you put the drawing here. I can get a closer look and now I see the sunflower-ness of it and the small figure, you?
So, seeing it here tonight I think right away how you are in the “face” of the sunflower, for they have such bold faces, don’t they? And there you are stretched out and hanging on, facing things.
