woke this morning remembering the collage on the kitchen wall in New Mexico

thinking i could do that with this shower wall….but then, no,  bcause i no longer have a life long stash of photographic scraps that i love

but the other day this cloth rose to the surface,  maybe the most emblematic of them all as      windthread     it's not finished,  so maybe this can be a beginning of a WorkWall?

Grace~ I love how this is falling into place…the pace of it, the flow of it. May you have many years of contentment here. xo

I love that you have so many new possibilities opening to you. And am glad you opted for lots of windows.

Do I spy your wondrous black stove tucked into a corner? The wondrous stove that made the most luscious lasagna, years ago, for Winter Solstice. The wondrous stove that made red chile and pork; you gave me the recipe, given to you by an old New Mexican man and I made it and it was filling and such good food. Now new food memories will come soon…
The cloth on the wall is just so fine, telling a story that is not yet finished.I want to know what kind of grasses you have on the hill because when you stitched the grasses from New Mexico on cloth, to me those stitches spoke of history and the land you loved and now, you have all of this CA land and I see grass stitches on this cloth to tie it all together…

This is the art I know You of! Beautiful memories, and a wonderful thought of a new art wall.
