i did something to my back this last week. pretty much everything but sitting still was(is) painful. i thought it would just go away if i took it easy but it wasn't. In the past, anything muscle would have immediately gotten Arnica Rub…a cream. i've been so fortunate with this body, it hasn't been often..maybe 4 times in my life? once for sciatica, but enough to know it works. Not this time…it's mid back and i can't use topical, can't reach i ordered the Oral and first time, the Boiron Homeopathic.
in the past, words were enough. But how it is lately, it's pictures i want and so….. this one is from Wikipedia. with the words…. Arnica is a genus of perennial, herbaceous plants in the sunflower family Wouldn't you know?????? I started it yesterday.

Thistle. the thistle that i know, that has been so present in Nogal's forest…..there are some OUT and what do i mean by out,?, …. in expanded areas where it has not grown before, extending out. This one is down just away from the feed shed . it's the only one there. but up by the resting chair, i counted 3. They begin as very small tight flat rosettes, leaves the size of this sprigs of whatever it is that grows in profusion there , then rapidly growing when conditions are right as i guess they have been in these last days. The choices Plants make. i like thinking about this.

by the resting chair. a few of these, was going to count them today but it was cold and there was strong wind. not many. this is outside Nogal's old forest that's been closed and all the thistles have grown. so at first sight i thought the thistles were moving out which would have been interesting but even more, this. It looks like a dandelion, yes? but then i search and there is the Sow Thistle. ???? Good work for these last coldwet days. Good to wonder, how they might have arrived up here??? Either way, greens are edible. Will have to wait for a bloom

early afternoon and out of that nowhere, a small dark cloud directly overhead with HAIL, pea size ….the Goats didn't know where to run Hail. a few minutes and then, as if it never happened. and how it is on this Hill, just down on the other side, the Meadow side, it truly was like it didn't happen 'because it didn't. Plumcot continued with ease.
