there is the urge to think of more little things to add.
that it is "not enough". too plain.

but i won't. yesterday, looking for something else entirely,
i came across this bell in one of the bead tins.
i picked it out and looked at it for a long time, listened
to it's clear little tone. put it back.
and it all progresses this way:
~somewhere in the dream during the night, i am making something
with the bell.
~this morning, i see jude's jar.
~finishing the Wind strands, i am compelled to go find the bell, the
strand of magic thread, and
~the feeling that sometimes happens when dream and awake realities
cross, begins. i have no way to describe that feeling but the
closest i can come is that it is like some kind of vertigo.
a physical sensation.

and so, this is it.

its fabulous as i knew it would be. the bell is perfect;it will rind with the wind calling the children. dreams are crossing all over the place… president obama was in my kitchen getting a drink of water after he helped us move a tree. on fri nite, last night there was a crowd at ayers creek and i had to fight for beans which i got and then decided to make pirate prayer flags to ward off crowds. im rambling… the curtain is gorgeous. felicitations!

Somewhere, I wish I remember where, I read that every time a bell sounds, a prayer is answered. I have a collection of bells too.

Wind is in this cloth in so many ways: by the kantha stitch that gives ripple movement to the shade, by the wispy, swirling pieces of cloth, Judes feathers falling from the sky and the bell that will jingle when the window is open just a little as the wind gently moves, the shade moves, the bell jingles and the children come to see their wind all lovingly given to them by a woman of the wind, wind and thread woven into a quiet cloth of joy and comfort. Beautiful.
