finished. i don't know if the string that goes
through the middle will be visible when i send
the pic to blog or not. but it is just a plain
hemp string that is separated into individual
fibers at both ends. there are also 3 hidden
things. i am unsure about these hidden things,
but…they are there.
after it arrives at Wendy's and the children
have it, i will talk about the 3.

Grace, it is beautiful! So lovingly done…the edges with the kantha stitching make a perfect holder for the center. I imagine that the children will be enchanted…

stunning… exquisite… it leaves the right amount of space and a means to traverse it… and a treasure hunt? with meaningful talismans i bet…cant wait to hear about those… this really speaks to me aesthetically and spiritually.

Gasp! I love it! I have been following, but I cant remember: is this cloth that already had the print on it, or did you put the color/print there? The weaving makes this such a special object and the frame that you put it on is so clever with the stitching and the uneven bottom. its really great :).

I love that fabric you used for the weaving. Up close, it doesnt say too much to me. BUT, on the window cloth and back a bit it is enchanting! It would make me smile each time I passed it!I was wondering what youve been up to also. It seems like a lot of people were quiet this week.;~) Debi

That strand of string connects like some narrow road. The woven clothwith the light behind it floats like some island. So much symbolism here.

Grace It is beautiful. I love the kantha stitch on the edges, it really frames it. You are so wonderful to make something that children will look at with awe for years. It will become part of their world. To give it away is part of the gift.
