doesn't seem like a lot

there will be many more sun threads and moon threads.  these in the center, are holding hands.

the moon, of course, is Glennis'…did i already say that?  the sun is one of the beautiful pieces from Marti…it feels so good to have it on this cloth.  the odd and beautiful black/white design is one of those unexpected things in life.  when i saw the blouse on the rack at the thrift shop, i couldn't belive my eyes, then was heartbroken when i touched it….a horrible feeling synthetic.  walked away, came back.  walked away, came back….the design was just too magnificant.  after i cut a small piece from it, i searched for the content label and saw…..the label:  Gianni Versace   made in Italy.    that explains it.  but, what was he thinking, not using cotton…we'll never know.

i want to get as much of this done before Saturday when Jude's class begins.  i love this concept of a Theater for the cloths.  i really don't have any idea what it means, but it means something that is holding my attention in an unusual way.

    One of the children I work with pulled a thread out of his blanket today. He told me, it’s not a blanket, it’s a jellyfish. Moon threads, sun threads, jelly fish threads…

    deb G…of course, it’s a jellyfish! when i read what you wrote
    the other day about the one year old sleeping in one of the toy
    boxes, i thought of Julian..my GREATgrandson, one year old, son
    of my granddaughter, 22years old, daughter of my daughter, 38 yrs
    old……..and i thought of all the people caring for children.
    Julian is making pictures at his day care. they hang on the
    refrigerator, just like his mother’s did, his grandmother’s did.
    so…blessings to you. to this child who recognizes a thread
    to be a filament of jellyfish. i will very Care-Full-y afix
    a thread on the inside of my Traveling Jacket to signify the
    flex of a jellyfish arm.

    The sun and the moon holding thread hands, a full circle of night and day, a day in the life of grace, a life in the day of grace. All moments fully present. Holds great meaning to me to have my little piece of sun cloth linked to Glennis’s moon magic.

    yes…that holding hands came out of noWhere…want to see
    it when there are more strands and still have that
    image of them flowing down the two outside curtain strips.
    am really liking the unknown about this all….

    marti…four of your cloths were tempting, but this one
    was exactly right, exactly how the Sun feels to me and
    exactly the Sun to be there….am looking forward to
    finding out what kind of stitches there will be?
    yesterday i soaked the linen that will be the inside
    backdrop and think i’ll put them together for a while
    today. this Theater is one of the comforts lately…
    almost feels like a
    friend ~?~
