the stitching has taken over.
and there needs to be something more between 4 and 6 oclock. i'm waiting to know. but, i found out that there will be many small birds.

ok,I´m used to it by now, you know, the synchronicity. I´ve been looking and looking at cranes and birds to use as a quilting’layer connecting’on the japancloth. and they willbe flying like yours are, and I saw it in a dream I asked for, and maybe it is the feathers, we are swimming in the same sea i think, and anyway yes this cloth is an entryway. it is really great to watch it happen here.

i needed this this morning. thank you.
have a new favorite spot, that silver moon on the lower right, with its tips touching the blue & brown & reaching toward the bird. going to make some tea & come back & look some more.

always, my world here is about birds, they make themselves
so known. we have finally been having more “normal”
late afternoon early evening Monsoon activity and as
the storms build, readying to descend from that West Rim,
all the birds swoop into the bushes and trees, so much
comotion as they wait here. watching this, i think about
what an important part of this world they are…how
empty it would be without them and am so grateful that
they live amoung us like they do, showing us how to
live, how Continuing works….

i got to enter a crows world for a bit recently. the crow was up on the wire watching my cat so his pal could enjoy his bread roll in peace. the crow then swooped down for a drink on the deck rail, after the cat came inside.
i make sure i keep the clay saucer full now that i know it’s being used. as for the bread roll…i had the grand girls toss them out, but lily doesn’t crumble it up first, she just throws it as hard as her 3 year arm will let her!
i still love your circle.

I love where this is going… so simple… and the birds, well, yay! Wonder how crow cloth is, I always think of it, actually!
Tomorrow I’ll be running around putting outdoor away… as much as I can, the ravens have been squawking at me all day, I think they are warning me even though the weather people don’t know how the storm will track, but we will get big winds and rain nonetheless.
happy stitching!!

She has blossomed into a real beauty!
Love the birds and the strip of cloth across the top.
And ‘Handstories;’ you’re right about the moon piece!
So perfect (and how clever of you to notice!)
She feels complete (to me.)

Hi Grace,
this piece is so beautiful and full of promise to become even better!! I think you started with a great composition, the circle. Working on two pieces makes it even better. Wow!
By the way, thank you for your lovely letter. The piece of velvet is beautiful – strangely enough I have never worked with velvet before. I will most definitely use it in my “big” cloth!
A letter from me is on its way – presumedly in a plane waiting for the hurricane to pass by.
I hope it doesn’t hit NY really bad – Jude does sound very concerned and scared.
Have a great day,
eva

you are too too good, sending shreds………
tonight as i stitched, the shred ie edges to the frayed
pieces of your cloth that i love, i put my full attention
to each strand of it…moving it around with finger tip.
it’s really so beautiful, Deb, just so beautiful

i like this Lily. her fast roll pitch is perfect for a
crow. what would a crow be able to do with crumbs
anyway? she’s got good intuition.
and thanks…LOVE the crow story. they are such creatures.
so much going on with crows that we couldn’t possibly
imagine…

it’s beginning to flow
at first, always, i just want the pieces to just BE
there, like on a flannel board. the stitching seems
like it’s too much of a change, but then
there is a point when it all starts to work. i’m
beginning that now, tonight…can’t wait till morning.
and i will be up very early to see about Irene. this is
a good way, these stitches, to keep track of Jude.

crow cloth waiting. i need to finish this cloth for
Wendy by the end of this month.
i think there is that parasympathetic thing from long
distances with crows and ravens…they know about
earth vibrations, respond to them

Eva…it had to be in two pieces to follow through with
it’s purpose. i’ll write about that when it becomes more
finished. but it’s specifically for Wendy’s children,
for a passage.
OH a LETTER!!!! i have new stamps…i told Patti, the
woman at the postoffice that i needed interesting stamps
for my friend in Germany. she’s into it now.
i just have that velvet to love. i haven’t used it either.
Jude…well…i wish we could all just show up if she
needs help hanging all her stuff from trees to keep it
above water. but alas……….
