Such beauty: looking at the cloths hanging on the line for me is like taking and dropping a rope down into a deep cavern. Each step down dazzles as the walls of rock, veined with deep color and striations, reveal their history. This is ancient cloth and I hold it in the highest regard.

I imagine once I ever get to trying out this ecodying thing, I might not be able to stop!
    Wonderful subtleties and color.

Beautiful marks on beautiful day! I’m going outside for the rest of the day!! Yayyyyyyy .. I love your backyard and either your camera is set on rich color (my made up word for it) or that desert sun does something to the color of everything there!!

Sandy, i clicked you but no blog? yes…and it truly IS
just stuff in the yard….and i will say again, the
cloth is all thrift shop stuff too. except sometimes
muslin from Dharma Trading. i just do cotton. or
thrifted pieces of clothing that might be rayon or
silk even…but the heavy silk. i need to try to
    bundle. and compost.

the grey ones are for nance…her rocks. it’s not as black as it would have become earlier in the season. the cooling of the nights now is seeming to make a difference.

Penny…the real stitching will need to wait till later.
it’s still almost 90 here during daylight hours. right
now, it’s 9:30 and i still have a fan whirring away.
so the real stitching, like on the Sunflower petals will
be in a month or so. am looking forward to that

    love this thought
    it is
    my experience of this world
it is NOT the world that i worry about
which is real? both, i guess and how do we deal with that
    reality?
