i found the little blouse.  the one that has the pattern on it that i need to draw so i can stop thinking about how someday soon, i will run out of it, use it up.  maybe that's why i lose it so often, why it sometimes just can't be found,  but then, is.

so there it is, hovering at the top of the right panel….

and it all DID start with those two thin strips of the latest from Deb Lacativa.  they made me hunt for the little blouse.

the added strips of cloth on the upper side and top probably are not the ones that will stay there, or maybe they will, just in a different way?   as i write this, i get up and look and no, especially the dark horizontal one…needs to be light there.

so…while all this is happening, i am somewhere in my brain holding Jude's latest words in Diaries, thinking in images.  am realizing that.  i think in images.

and yes.  i took off  the butterfly that was there.  it is nesting in a small basket of scraps.

so, off i go.  hopefully to post more changes later in the day.  i  ~~~~~~~~~love~~~~~~~this.

Oh I LOVE it too! It is so full of goodness. I enlarge the photo and just stare. Something new always catches my eye. I had all my dyed pieces out yesterday- trying to piece together, like a puzzel and just didnt feel it. Brought in the rusted pieces today, laundered and all ready. For me, it feels like the background cloth, the foundation of my discovery cloth is the hardest part. Must persevere……

I can see completely the need for light at the top there… otherwise, its like the dark is containing the upward energy, too framed or something, at least that’s how I see it. Its good to feel your excitement…
a small package will fly to you on Tuesday 😀

the dark horizontal stripe first seemed to me a little hard, but as I looked at the first picture of the whole cloth it seemed to form a sort of frame with the five moons and I think that works. I like these smal stripes, they look so fragile.
Exciting to watch your work in progress…

Lately I’ve noticed in the garden when I’ve defined a path with rocks along its edge in order to separate walking access from the don’t step on the garden part, that it changes the whole feel of the area. Somehow it feels complete as if it was calling for an edge and didn’t know how to ask for it. Your cloth seems to have a whole new light in this area. It has asked and you have answered. Oh the magic of it all!

oh Grace- today your post meant so much to me. I have just stopped for the moment to come and read it again. Your choice of words opened up a part of my brain that has been closed for too long. I have spent the afternoon with my cloth. I have processed idea’s and changed my mind 30 times. I have let go of the need to control myself when it comes to my creativity and by doing so, have opened yet another door. Thank You. @nd post just finished. Thank you for stopping by earlier. Thank you for being so open with us. xoxo

this is really moving along Grace. It’s so big when I think about what I’m doing, ha. Anyway, I really like the addition of the lines and the thinner pieces…really adds to the dimension and moves.

I’ve been pondering how I think too…and I would say not in images, I don’t seem to hold an image in my mind of what I want to create. I think I start with an idea, a mood, a feeling…still thinking about it. Your cloth is becoming a magical garden to me…

that part was easy for me. the large center and then
the two panels…all dyed this summer here. i was
    so happy with the colors
just remember, jude does things often in pieces…atop
just a large piece of cloth…
there’s so much to think about. but that’s what i love.
    it’s endless…………..~~~~~~~~~

well..no further ahead than i was this morning. when its
gone, i want that dark horizontal. when it’s there, i
    take it off.
what i have realized though is that the piece with the
5 sun/moons would carry weight against anything else at
all. it really is a cloth of it’s own, but still, i want
it here. and it will stay. but trying to change that
won’t work, ie can’t “balance”. i am learning a LOT
    at this point
and yes. am seeing how thin arcs are very meaningful to me

it’s like a one of a kind. an old hippy india import
little blouse it’s so magic to me, the image, but also
the cloth itself..it’s a really crinklie translucent
rayon. i still can’t help myself. i LOVE some rayons.
they have something nothing else has

for me it’s not any kind of whole image…but just
    fragments of things, very undefined
but still, not words, not any kind of linear orderly
thing…blurred image..? well, fragments is the best
    word to say it
and again, that thing of Felt Sense. which IS an actual
term from Eugene T. Gendlin…from his book Focusing.
    ….back to 1979.
maybe i’ll read it again. i went to Chicago to workshops.

P.S. Speaking of images, I always see in images, can’t for the life of me see things in words. Would be lovely to have that skill (gift).

There’s a lot here, so much. I’ll just say that I like the ‘framing’ aspect…what if it was a darkness up there but maybe less rectangle…some curvy edges…
Or maybe what if it was a darkness but in another color, less similar to the moons piece and the background…
    Just thinking…
