so, i cleaned my own house today.   finally looking UP,  i was surprised by the cob webs.   surprised by how i don't notice them at all,  for months, i guess.

010f
just inside the door is this.  it's a Tshirt cut and put in the frame.  some of you might recognize the image.   i used to threaten my son that i would do the same to him.  then some years later he bought me this Tshirt when we were at the Flea Market in Albuquerque.  i wore all of it out except for this much and at that point, framed it.   today i vacuumed it.  dusted the frame.

BEAUTY has arrived in the Pomegranate Pot

and then,  Julie,  from Jude's Spirit Diaries was determined.  She thought i needed this, from her trip to Dead Horse Bay in Brooklyn

007f

i said i thought just a print of it from her printer would be good.  but she said no…. and yesterday, She arrived.

005f
i pinned Her on the West Window Just Looking Curtain…where things can be in all manner of light.  and Lo and Behold….what do i see here?  a Moth.

014f

008f

009f

and following Jude's changes,  i take this, at the end of this day,  this once spartan space.  but i smile.

oh, you’re full of beans. sgrace, i’ve been quite sick and for the duration your length of tweed had comforted me on the couch, along with a cotton handwoven cloth from a friend. i’ve done a passel of shivering, but the warmth of that piece soothes. thanks.

Hey Grace, just beginning to speak and sort of hear again – terrible flu or something – so I am catching up, love the ‘moth’ and the small cloth suddenly bursting into life! We have had such hot weather here it is hard to believe in anywhere being cold and icy, terrible bushfires. Your little house looks so cosy. Love and hugs.

velma…when i got up this morning (in the Dark) to
start the fire and the coffee water and stumble over
here to push the button to start this machine and watch
as the inbox lit up and i saw…Velma…which is a
gift in itself…but then it said (i only get a partial
comment in the inbox) oh, you’re full of beans. and
    i was stunned….oh…oh…eeee…what did i write?????*
oh, NO!!!! oh and i clicked on it and i still am not
sure how i am full of beans, or exactly how you are
referencing this intuitive knowing, but anyway….am
    very Glad anything gives warmth.

i just loved it so much…that he gave me the shirt
after a lot of wear and tear between us. couldn’t let it
go. so i just glued it to the back of the painting that
came in the frame. it’s been maybe hmmm…15 years now?
    give or take.

i had to keep it as a treasure. so much water under
Our bridge, that boy and i. and that he found it and
gave it was such a gesture of forgiveness.
when he comes to visit, he stops there as he comes
in the door for a moment.
    Sons.
and the moth bustiere or however it’s spelled….women.
it’s almost all just too Grand.

well…at that point in time, there was nothing else to
    do…so, glue. like Elmer’s.
and here we are today…looking at it and it is just as
Fine in this moment as it was when he handed it to me
that Saturday at the Flea Market. he was maybe 16 then.
    he’s 37 now?

sweetie…I’ll stop visiting for a while.
    Away to the sea
    there where is no internet
    but lots of wind
pulling at hair from doggies and me
    cold from frost
    warm with stitches results
hope to see all of you now and then at a internet cafe of some sort
    for now silence and wind
the wind blows to who listens
    kiss the goats

Support and love. And I can see you in that space, stitching and thinking and I have cobwebs too. In fact, the other day I was washing the dishes and this spider zoomed down right in front of me, stopped, and then zoomed right back up. Guess that web will stay for awhile.

love taking a squizz round your space Grace! talking of cobwebs, I am letting the little black house spiders make a lace curtain in the kitchen window as it’s doing a fine job of catching flies and mosquitoes which look kinda like beaded decorations (without my glasses on)

    love your space
    and if anyone put
    my underwear on their window
    I would be mortified.
That being said, the bustier is very lovely, a strange echo of the past as is the T-shirt in the frame.
