~RAIN~

a Good, Strong, Long Rain.  good Thunder, good Lightning.  water.  Seeping in.

the first and only Rain.  all the fields, just in time.  there is a reprieve for what feeds the Goats.

We had a good rain, too, and we really needed it! Love the cloth on the line and the jelly cloth, fun!

And the rains came here too on the rocky shores of Maine, where i am visiting the daughter cobbling a life for herself here in the place that spoke Home to her. The torrents came suddenly while i was out on the beach hunting for driftwood for Himself to carve. i like thinking that the rain is touching us all, in all these different places that are all the same world.

The cloth just glistens in the rain and it’s like the earth was sliced open, laid out flat, and out of it emerged the story of this piece of land you call home. What a tapestry of earthly delights…

oh my did my comment get lost (again she sighed)
what I wanted to say and had in fact said: water is a gift when needed, and we needed it too just like you, however the drop in temperature was uncalled for!!
am wearing socks and layers of clothing, ugh; although Turkey-warmth is still in my body and head for sure
lovely pics of your beautiful spot-on-the-Earth.

After a week of glorious sunshine I’ve woken up to gray skies and the promise of rain. I’ll sneak outside early this morning to plant a few things and it will be just perfect… I think it is perfect too, that your cloth was caught out in the rain. Collecting another event, another idea…

Today, the 11th, was our day to get much rain, with sun shining in between. And it rained just a little last night. It is very cold, though, and the heater is still going. I will be glad for nights that aren’t quite so cold. Though, then again, I don’t really care for hot, hot nights either!

I’m with Cindy – love those stippling or seeding stitches on upper right. It’s May 15 now, and I can’t remember WHAT the weather was on the 11th… it’s been breezy and cool here though. Sweater and down vest cool.
