being hypervigilent, i woke to what i thought maybe had been THAT Goat sound. but not. so lay back down on the futon and just watched morning come at a different angle
and looked at so many lines and angles
and began another altar cloth.
the wasp sting bothered me more today than the eve it happened. that whole side of my lower lip and chin is itchy and when i rub it, swells.
just home. and plugged back into windthread and the point of view–started reading “angle of repose” on the way home. glad to be back in this synchronistic (sp) world! just getting started reading but oh so sorry about the wasp sting. they’re nasty nasty nasty and oh so itchy. i used to get up in the night and not turning on the light, sit on the toilet, only to be rudely stung by a nocturnal wasp resting on the toilet seat. can’t say i’m sorry those days are over. love love.

Minka…yes. i keep benadryl around for the event of one of those
ant bites. and i did have it and did take it right away. and
yesterday not all that much happened, just some swelling. but today
it’s the itching and usually itching means it’s going away. maybe
i’ll take another benadryl at bedtime. i think i rub it in my sleep.

Did you try putting aloe vera on it? I usually think of other things – most especially plantain, which grows abundantly here, but not sure about there? Not sure why I thought aloe, but… it popped in, so passing the thought along. Plantain, chewed a bit, then put the juices on really helps my stings.

Once in a while we would get stung by bees when I was a child. We had a large honeysuckle vine that bees used to love. My Dad would first grab a bunch of basil and tear it up and put it on the sting but usually he would mix a paste of baking soda and water and smear it on. Since your sting is on your lip, not sure how this would work, the basil would taste fine but the baking soda…ack! Sorry it is worse today.

Oh poor your lip–well, though Benadril night do the trick, I am never without this homeopathic remedy–Rhus Tox–comes in tubes of small pellets and is great for bee stings. In fact, the original substance comes from bee toxin…Homeopathic remedies are usually cheap too. sorry about the wasp — I’ve heard a comfrey pack soothes, too – if you were closer, I’d pluck some of the broad leaves that are sprawling in my yard and bring them to you!
I really like the symmetry of this new cloth for some reason.
