first thing i’m seeing this morning–the image through the window–and it looks almost tropical. i felt confused. the vegetation–everything–looks more like a rain forest than NM. the only thing that would make this more perfect would be to see one of those eggs in the water nest–to see it hatch. hatch into a dinosaur. that’s what it feels like. ancient.
we’ve been under this monsoon spell for about 7 days now. it’s amazing. rain so intense. flood warnings all over the place. sunshine in between and i run to the garden and yes, it is SO happy. doing its own thing.
loving the lizard cloth. love the eyes here. their depth of seeing. will be gone until Wed.

For water to be so precious… And last year it was here too. Strange weather patterns lately. We got caught in the vortex of a two day swirl of rain earlier this week. Five inches or so when it was done. There are mushrooms popping up and mold on the ground. Your clothing gets heavy from the moisture just being outside… The weatherman calls it air you wear.

air you wear….oh, i love that.
humidity here is a rare commodity. again, is associated
MAYBE from this Monsoon season of July. all, as in ALL
the
Water
here is from this monsoon season of one month a year and
then from run off of Snow Pack in the mountains in Winter…
which we have not had any to speak of for some years now…
things are becoming Serious

so glad you are receiving RAIN. we have stultifying humidity and temps in the 90’s, which makes us run AC *and I’d rather not.

no grace, thank you for taking the time to come back with me. i realise you are a very busy woman and dodging back and forth makes more work and will bring back the painful memories too. it is so good to be back reading here but i will try and move on and comment more selectively, otherwise i will always be a year behind

this made me smile so softly…always a year behind…but
really…
not.
this moment here in this Post is almost upon us. The wet.
The softness of it. The uneasiness of Goats with water.
Soon. it’s coming this week. The first pic of this post i love so much…love looking at it…especially tonight, July 2, 2014…how things are different tonight…because i added.
I am always adding. Will i ever stop?
so…again. I THANK YOU, like really…THANK YOU for
doing what you are doing….i only hope it has just some
of the meaning for you as it does for me.
BIG LOVE, mimmin….BIG LOVE……….

strange that your weather is predictable or maybe i am assuming this from what you write and maybe you just have accurate forecasts?? but you often speak as though the weather comes round as expected, when expected, with fairly tight parameters. here it does just any old thing it pleases: some years a wet summer, sometimes sunnier. cold winters, mild winters, a big old lottery. when i first moved here in the mid eighties, from whe day i arrived in may, it rained every day for more than a month. all these years on and being slightly globally warmed now, it doesn’t seem to rain so much.
are goats everywhere like this about rain?? cows here lie down just before it rains and sheep just munch on regardless i believe.
and it means SO much, and i am so pleased you don’t mind me turning up late
and i LOVE your BIG LOVE from your BIG HEART
so some BIG LOVE is winging back to you

Three Things are relatively certain here. or have been. and yes,
there are changes. and now a Give or Take Timetable. but…still.
March. WIND. WIND IS March. Huge constant Wind like the contractions in the final time of laboring for a new life, strong, and rolling to the previous, the next coming out of the one before.
Wind. More and more it’s a flatline rather than a rolling. but
March. This year on into April and even May. But the Native People’s prophecies say that about Wind. So, we need to accomodate what we
are Causing. and I think Goats are like that. but really, not sure.
Patricia and Cynthia would be able to answer this.
Second, the “Monsoon”. July. Rain. the really ONLY Rain season. Enough for the Spadefoot Toads to Rise. A yearly CELEBRATION, so
far. Like the coming and going of the Sandhill Cranes.
Beth has tree toads.
and then the third, SUN. Sun is constant. occasionally there will be overcast days during the winter months. In recent years, very little snow.
but really, Wind, Monsoon, Sun. Three “weathers” and yes…
pretty predictable.
