Sun shown down on the Cloth this morning.  yes.  it's finished.  it's right.

a white light hovered (top left) and i couldn't determine  the source

and the Next Cloth began talking….i love it already and it's hardly there.

it was hard, waiting till 2 o'clock,  which  is the earliest i could give the Goats their afternoon pellets without setting unrealistic precedence.   and they brought the HalfTon bale of alfalfa at 1:oclock on the dot as agreed and i got it covered with a tarp,  even tarp tied down well so when the Goats are inside at night they don't have to stare at a half ton of food all night and not be able to have a leaf of it.  so all that and even more time left to wait.

i have been gifted with India Flint's latest book,  Stuff, Steep, and Store.  it sits on the Morning table and i look at it several times a day.  and as i was passing the Coral Berry Bush on my way in

IMG_8089f

i thought…Why Not?  so….

IMG_8091f

there's no cloth in it here…just the dry leaves and berries.  tomorrow i'll wrap some cloth.  but this is Enough, almost really….a jar of shining Beauty of the ledge…  then…it was Time.

Nothing fancy.  The place is an old, many years unused, stockyard.  it's where ranchers from all around would have brought their free range cattle to fatten them  up and sell  at auction.  i don't know any more of it's history, but i will find out, soon enough.

nothing romantic.

about the Place and also, maybe about the Woman.   the Zebra,  who she acquired because he was deemed Untrainable by two expert trainers,  was being asked here,  to do the Hokey Pokey.  he likes learning things.  so, it was …put your left foot out, put your left foot in,  put your left foot out and shake it all about, do the Hokey Pokey and turn yourself about…   Sundays are Big visiting days and he had already been hand fed several times and really…wasn't into the Hokey Pokey in its entirety,  he only agreed to the turn yourself about part.  but he skipped the parts he didn't want to do and it all was just Ok.

and then…lots of brown horses.

IMG_8093f

this was the one i loved.  the colour above his nostrils looked like the Sunset.  he has an eye infection.

there were two buckskins.  but somehow, i didn't take their pics.  they are beautiful.  but it was the brown horses that caught my heart.  just the Regular brown ones.

i will need a little bit of time to absorb what i Felt.  horses.  horses.

but in the midst of it all, i told about the Goats here and they will come on Wednesday.  maybe early in the morning.  but, Wednesday.  and she will work with one of the Goats.  she says that all the Goats,  All of the Goats will be wanting this.  She will work with one.  and show me how.  and all of them will be wanting to offer up their hooves.  AND

she said..

we'll make a video, ok?  …………………………….eeeeee  a video………………..for Utube! ….yes!!!!

and OK!

The light coming in on the jar, making it glow echoes a strip on the new cloth, the burnt sienna colored one.
A video showing goats wanting to offer up their hooves, well this will be something to see and I think that sometimes showing something is easier than trying to use words to explain so onto Wed.

horses just slay me…move me to tears. Yet, I remember so well being close to them…I was a mere girl, but remember feeling awe….such big animals. The chestnut colored ones are beautiful, and so is your okay in four directions clot, and the new one begun.

this is just so over the moon wonder full. it’s never occurred to me that perhaps the goats have been “wanting” their hooves trimmed. but yes, i imagine they do. and i so can’t wait to see it all–the ongoing saga of how it happens when one is open to …? Life?

This blog always presents the most surprising words but “a zebra doing the hokey pokey” takes the cake,

oh the colors of your day..of your new cloth..of the horses and the anticipation..met and extended..and always i am so drawn in.i woke up thinking bout this sharing..pulling my laptop to me before coffee…ok this is huge usually you are my much appreciated morning accompaniment to coffee..
.to go out beyond the boundaries of your home with you was wonderful…but it made me stop and realize how very much i find a whole universe of thought within your more usual borders…that my mind stretches and bends and considers and delights all from the space that you extend to us…so that i pack boxes thinking of the pemaculture of self..and make decisions while considering the new permutations of five skins…and i rest my thoughts in your cloth…such gift you give each day
all the browns of brown horses…so deep so rich..all the colors of your window..all the promise of the new cloth…the wondering of the offering of the goats..what a marvelous way to start a new week wonder full monday to you

Somehow all of the colors today are linked…the sun on the finished cloth, the new strips beginning their dance of combination, the light through the beautiful jar, and the caramel muzzle of the rough bay horse. Like everyone else I’m looking forward to Wednesday as you seek to link more deeply with your goats. Yes, video!

he was so funny. just wanting to part of the thing, even
tho it didn’t get him the candy cane that is his preferred
treat. he didn’t care…would just stand while she repeated the other parts and then when she got to the Turn Yourself
About Part, he spun around. but he knew also that he
didn’t want to do it all. and it was just so OK.

The horse looks like a nice guy. He reminds me of the cats when they’re being quiet and patient. They get the same expression on their faces. You meet the nicest people.

I have shivers looking at the new piece! And the lighting in the top one…I want to dance to both!
My adult son who lives with us saw me playing with fabric bits yesterday. He made a rude comment and I wanted to Hokey Pokey him with my needle. Luckily he didn’t dampen me completely, I am still excited to be starting a new bit! I am going to see if I have more of the Orange Shirt for Strength. To add Grace to the bits.

Oh I’m so very, very envious of you Grace. Reading about your adventures with horses…..and zebras, of course (and yes…a zebra doing the hokey-cokey!!!!! where else would we find this!!!) I am filled with happiness. This is great; I always feel so privileged to have contact with ‘wild’ creatures. Though here, it’s normally robins in me garden. There, you are encountering the wild horses. We are the richer for whatever contact we make.

this is SO GREAT that you say this, Jan…because my life in the beginning was so full of Robins. and then here, in New Mexico…not so much. or, really not at all. but then…
the year when the WORMS became able to be nearer the Surface
of this Land, after all the compost, manure, love, and
    i guess, Faith…after all that….
    a robin came. a single robin…..and i was THRILLED by it’s
song…i ran out! and YES!!!! a Robin!!!! a Robin!!!!!!
and just 2 days ago…here he is. Robin,,,,i call him
    RoBinDo…..ROBINDO!!!! here he is…poking about…singing sometimes……my Wild Wild Robin…
    so…isn’t it how it goes?????????????
“We are the richer for whatever contact we make”…Yes.
    Yes we are.
LOVE!…to you and your own Wild Robins…………
