i DID weave.  i wove in Cloth to Cloth.   I wove the Daughter Cloth.  Had to stand on a ladder to do it.   Maybe what we might call a Twin size Coverlet.   So…i learned a little weaving.  2011.

And in the new Considering Weave Diaries,  Jude Hill  Spirit Cloth,  i am looking.  listening.  Considering.  I am Considering.  yes.

bindweed weaves it's self to everything here,  weaves Everything to Everything.  Over/Under/Around/Over Under Around.

the cucumber trellis,  which i have moved to make way for the new Goat Corridor.  Maybe i might weave it STRONG in the case that i leave….Strong enough to take with me,  if i

travel

then the holes in the Oasis fencing in the Way Back from when Arctica has gotten her horns stuck and i needed to cut the wire of the fencing….. here…mended with copper wire in a sloppy way…maybe i might Weave them well,  with mindfulness.

that Whole Oasis fence could use Weaving with the coyote sticks.   Maybe that.

But there's too much stuff that requires weaving in from day to day to really make room for NewWeaving?   I think?  …..  I think?   This week,   a new dog will be woven in,  probably.  Because old dear Chinche doesn't hear much anymore.   and Old Women need a dog that hears well.

Thinking a Lot about Weaving.  But not so much about threads on a loom.  But rather stuff that life requires…my life,  anyway.

?????????????????????

hi grace. I am thinking too. about what weave means in our personal lives. jude’s words create sparks of connection. which is another kind of weaving. a new dog sounds lovely for you and for Chinche.

yes…weaving. so many kinds of weaving in.
Chinche…it’s kind of sudden and surprising. She just
    is becoming old. She sleeps.
the new one may be too new. Haven’t met the new one yet but she would be through a woman here who trains dogs…who herself has sheep and goats. She, the new dog, is a road dog, dumped. The woman at the animal shelter kept her as a foster for a while. She’s 9 months. The dog trainer woman has had her for a week or so and thinks she might be a good choice to weave in here. Maybe. I am Care Full. Weaving in here is complicated. We’ll see. Haven’t met dog yet. sometime this week. maybe.

Ah yes, the daughter cloth and the ladder ~ I remember well. It was when we first met. And the dancing goat…so nice to see again. It sounds like the new dog may be a very good match.

Bindweed, yes. I’ve been thinking about it as weaving over the last couple days as I’ve been pulling it out of places it doesn’t belong. What I’ve been noticing is how it even starts to shape the branches of the plants it wraps itself around.

Considering how experiences weave into the tapestry of our life: sometimes strong as in the edges, holding; sometimes in the center, pulled taut as life comes at us fast and furious, when least expected and here and there, the faded, frayed, dangling pieces that to me are where life is lived to the fullest…

she is. she has been the BEST PARTNER here. and she’s
got a long time to go. She’s just not good at guarding
the gate anymore. She can teach a new dog well. and
really, she might like having some comotion…might
energize her a little. She’s been alone since the little
    crazy ones died.

EVA….i think there’s a LOT of Weaving to be done of all
kinds. Without a loom….well, those fences are really
very strong looms in their way

bindweed is like iron. funny…i don’t mind it at all
anymore because the Goats LOVE eating it. When i throw
a tangle of it into them, they scramble and shove and
    tangle to be first…

to me too…the faded, frayed, dangling
but then…i think there needs to also be the taut first…
    i love the word taut
maybe that’s what i’ll name the new dog…Taut

Maria, i love this, weaving by breath and we do, yes.
This morning just at first light the AIR came in through
the window upon the top of my head…just the most soft
and beautiful air current…i don’t even want to call it
a breeze, because that diminishes it, it was a CURRENT.
    like a stream.
and it flowed over me…and i breathed it.
i am sorry for making this a response that you will have
to work at..with translating…but you are so RIGHT. SO
    RIGHT. WEAVING BY BREATH
    Love to you

So appreciating your post this day…and am also considering so much about what weaves through the journey that has been and is still my life….some thoughts falling to the journal pages, discovering ideas long dormant, relationship to thread and cloth as family history, too. Considering weave is so much more than I had imagined at the signing up for the travels with Jude and the community of considerers.
All the photos weave such a story of place and your land, the goats, the growing things, the dwelling with stitching bringing cloth to life….thanks for this piece of writing and pulling my eyes to magical places…mwaaaah

    a new dog, hurray!
we’re putting up an extra fence in the back garden to keep Django away from the dike, kind of heavy weaving; have also been thinking ’bout using some leftover hazel poles (stuck in the earth as the warp)and weaving clipped branches (weft), turning garden clippings into something ornamental and useful at the same time, still pondering on the where-in.the-garden part
