a soft "woman" rain.  Soft some,  but wind too,  but still a Woman Rain.  Feeding.  Giving.  Soft enough to seep in.  Seeping in.  These are very good words for desert rain.  Not the hard kind that runs off,  but the softer kind that seeps in.  Soaking.  Seeping.

then this.   a weave of sorts.  Not much, really.  But a weave of sorts.  for the Considering Weave, Jude Hill.   so i wove it.   because of a sort of dream,  but in the dream too,  i was, as always, trying to find my place in everything that was So Much.   Why do i keep dreaming this?  Finding Place?

speaking of soft…I just want to sink into this. the criss-cross of weave catches something. maybe holds a Place?

It’s lovely this weave…two kinds really, and the thread weave like a harp over a canyon. I love the use of red thread. It’s such a positive color, and can mean so many things…but ‘life’ pops to mind….and about finding your place…I feel that way so much of the time about so many things. Then once I resolve to just DO, I don’t feel out of place at all. I’m not talking about stitching or weaving of course, just living. Glad your’place’ got a soaking. It’s always helpful….a little water kindness goes a long way.

i really honor you for this–the way you’ve taken weave and incorporated it into cloth without losing a bit of “grace” integrity.

place is sort of just like this, supported from by what we already know as place.

I love this weave, it looks so soft, almost tangible, I want to touch it.

This piece makes me think of an instrument…which makes it appropriate that you have rain. 🙂 Rain coming here too. We’ve broken some heat records over the last couple weeks so much needed.

So much that i know it’s not from this life time, but

yes. a little water goes a LONG way in the desert. a
    really really LONG way.
and not being much of a red person, a red thread is
a different thing, blood to me. Life.

i don’t know what else to do. and with things how they
are here now, there is so little uhhhh, excess of time and energy. it all needs to “count”.
