Thrift Shop.  It was 10 cent Tuesday and so, crowded.  Hot.  Crowded so i gave  up the Hunt quickly upon finding these.   The first,  a pair of SORELS!!!!  and i don't think they were ever worn.  I think they are a boys boot…because they're relative small but wide.  If they were a woman's boot they would be narrower in the toe.   These are roomy.  They will be PERFECT for those cold months,  getting up to light the wood stove,  going out to break ice on the water, feed the Goats.  These boots are probably close to $100….but as it is,  10 cents.

And then this really oh so Great shirt,  a thin thin thin soft soft soft cotton shirt that is an XXXL size and so on me,  the tails go to the knees.   I cut off the collar….debating about the cuffs….but it is perfect for those moments during the dark of night when i wake,  sleeping naked,  and want to spook around for a while.   Covers all that needs to be covered but is so so light…..and a beauty Full pale blue…like the Moon………so when i am Outside,  Moon will recognize me

But……………….Look.   Look what has arrived.   The print from Jane Bregoli.     The print on canvas somehow that she knew was possible

and the timing could not be more perfect.   I am at a little of a loss about how to think/feel about the Goats.   and having this here,  having Noelie Houle  and her  best Goat  Anna here,  i  will  find my way.   Noelie was ninety-two when Jane painted this picture.   The original oil painting is 7 FEET X 4 FEET   and privately owned.

and she sent me some cards and postcards of the images from the book and this one that was not in the book but that i love so much…i want to find this Energy that she so much Holds…i need this.

and to make it all that much more of a Celebration of Goodness,  Maria emailed me this photograph from her garden….this bouquet,  which i think is flax,  her hands holding it..uncut,  growing and Alive….

How much better could anything BE?….  i think not any.  This is just a very FINE FINE day….

A true blue fine day: your findings; the canvas print of Noelie and her special goat coming now, poignant in its arrival, anchoring what you feel and perhaps a benediction in and of itself for you and your goats. Most of all, the moving, beautiful photo of Maria’s hands, the delicate flax flowers, rooted in her land, can almost see them swaying with their green stems, that soft blue color that casts a calm over it all, no accident the timing of all of this…

Anchoring, yes and a benediction, yes. Maria’s hands
    so softly gathering Blue, gently.
No. no accident of the timing. and this is what i want
to LEAN INTO…this timing, this well, love. i guess it’s just That, isn’t it, just Love. it’s all just Love.

we have seen it woven…i don’t remember who sent the pics
but how it’s woven…in great sheets for clothing…how
so BeautyFull….the old woman and the got…her best goat…the goats that gave her health into her 90’s…
    I don’t think that far..90’s…but….just how far i go.
And How to BE, in however far i go

i looked at those boot first. thought, oh how absolutely sweet. thought they were babies’ boots. nothing to indicate scale. got coffee. wondering if you were sending them to colorado. spun a story about your granddaughter there–Lilyalluvial? no–hiking those mountains.
sat back down and read more. then belly laugh. because of the spun story. because i saw what i wanted to see at first. because what i saw had no thing to do with the reality of the boots. sweet story, just not the real one. whatever real is.

Lily Alluvial Fan….i am making her some Fishing Pants
for her First Birthday in September…but no…
these are my boots. but reading this, i look and yes,
they do look little, and i guess they aren’t big…the
oh so best part of them is they are WIDE…from all the
years of NO shoes, bare feet, i kind of have duck feet…
    so these are Such Happiness…
and i love this last thought of yours…how story is story
and it can be whatever it wants to be. I like this so much.
And as i begin a new cloth, i like having this thought
to accompany the making….Thank you for this….
