Eddie asked if he could trim some low branches of Old Cowboy's tree,  said sure.  Since,  there is something i noticed on the yard there,  looked like maybe a wad of dryer lint and today i walked over to see….

Hummingbird nest.  I've never seen one in person before.   It's very thick and extremely soft inside.  I will look more closely in the morning.  This evening,  i am depleted.

This is all so hard and beautiful and real, what you are doing. Last night I dreamt about you and all of it…someone had written a beautiful requiem about this journey you are on with the OCB and self to honor it all.

oh what a lovely gift from the universe
    honoring your own nest
    kinda of a reminder
of how truly we are blessed
    to have a nest.

While you are nesting in your exhausted sleep, may the angels of mercy visit and bless.

Nature’s beauty….amazing little nest. Putting the quarter in was a great idea, gives us real perspective. Simply AMAZING!

Oh, my, it’s beautiful. Kind of reminds me of those small felted bowls you see sometimes. But the nest is a blessing. And more BeautyFULL.

I love that you added the quarter for scale … for truly this wonderful construction looks to be larger. How amazing it would be to see it made … can you imagine?

What a magnificent hummingbird nest. I found a dead hummingbird (black chinned) that looked just fresh with no obvious signs of what caused his demise. In our dry climate, he mummified with his beautiful colors intact, and I keep him on a “buffet” cabinet shelf along with other natural things I tend to collect.
