Garden $90

Finished.  12 x 13    Garden     It's in the shop.  

As i'd determined to do,  i DID use recycle scrap,  but also…as always needed Deb Lacativa  for the purple sky and the butterflies…can't resist.

I finished it while it was storming early in the day then went Out for the afternoon.

Weeding.  Piles of Kochia.  A lot fed to the Goats but plenty for piles to dry and burn next month.

Garlic Chives that basically get no water but Sky water.  This year,  so little.  But very clearly,  it is enough.

    The chives are so healthy Mmmmmmm. Caroline’s colors are gorgeous, so lovely that Cinderella and Lucky Star with starry goat eyes. They move me still even from a distance. I love your new piece too, though I can’t pretend to understand it’s complexities.

    two remembrances regarding fabric choices from classes I took ages ago. One teacher recommended collecting some ‘ugly’ fabric. This, of course, will be different for everyone. How sometimes it will be just what you need. The other teacher told us how she makes one quilt a year completely ‘out of her palette’ — to stretch.

    dear her. i wish it was so, but alas, it’s just her best
    self, one scur going forward, one going back. But her
    gentleness. She is a daughter of Gideon. Sonny Ray’s sister.

    i look more again at the Goats…as things are changing and i
    am in a shift with them, i look long at them through these
    days. yes. Each is so individual
    They have their names, but also have extra names, nicknames, and they know all of them, identify to all their names
    like Ona is OOOOna and mona and Ona May she looks up to all.
    Snow Bunny, of course is Snow. Bun. BunnBunn and Bunith.
    OnDay is Day, DayMa, OnDa. Caroline is Kwine, K.
    Just Going is Strawberry. They know.

    as a way to play and learn… because it sounds like you want to try something new in terms of fabric choices here and there? I have no patience any more for working with design or cloth that I don’t love… but to use colors I am not naturally drawn to is something that could be done still loving what’s in my hand…
