i packed the Altar.  In the midst,  i forgot to breathe.  Fingertips of the left hand were numb,  i felt….dizzy…vision blurred, swoon.  I said to self,  SIT.  and did.  BREATHE and did and went on.   So much more.  but it's late and i can't know what to put here and what to leave out.

You are wrestling with so much. Just the physical effort of packing, along with the constant stay or go questions that accompany it, while the daunting spectre of The Move hovers over all….and then the wondering about how it will be when the move is done, with “different” being the only certainty. Breathing is the way to get through it. I’m thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed, but I also feel confident that you will maintain your center and accomplish everything with aplomb.

I’m so sorry that you have to go through this part alone, although I can’t imagine having someone underfoot while making the moment to moment decisions you are dealing with.

Packing the altar brings the move front and center because altars are our personal stories, histories, holding cherished spirit objects so doing this would certainly cause a pause, a moment of suspension…
“What to put here and what to leave out”, this is a kind of packing in its own right. You will say what you feel you need to say here, you have always shared deeply and this blog post is important because it is real -it is what we all face when we make a move after so many years in one home, one place. I understand deeply how this goes. What I can say to you is that your email address, “porvida” the Spanish words that mean “For life” says it all, how you have lived your life and will continue to do so. Your move is for la familia and for the continuing life of the generations, and your place in the whole of it. So breathe, sit when you need to,and hold to this: At this time in your life, how fortunate you are to not only be surrounded by family with young ones to show and teach but equally, how special that you will be receiving the gift of learning and discovery as well. AND you will make the most of this, enriching yourself and in time, when you are settled, enriching all of us with continuing your story here….

the stay or go…i thought about it this morning…now 7 months,
i am sitting with it all, taking enough time to see/feel where
the fear lies…and it’s just in the actual move…the Driving
across and getting there….mostly about the Goats. Once we are
there, i feel there will be great Energy.
