Big smile! I hope you keep going.
I didn’t know that those elegant leaves on my refrigerator were now brown and tangled, putting their all into flower and seed. And that the stem was like linguine. Although it makes sense. This shows/feels-like the whole land is contracting to adapt to the lack of water and the excess heat. The flower is very light on my computer, but I know that she, too, is contracting inward with her petals to save that precious liquid.
I don’t know how you will convey the sticky oil that covers her. And fragrance.

and yes. contraction. Marcus, the Permaculture apprentice told me yesterday, Saturday, that many of the Plant People go dormant in these months of heat. Once the temperatures are around 80, they will wake.LikeLike
