this is the bedroom of this Place.  At the foot of the bed,  to the left in this pic there is 12 inches  of space,  mattress to wall.  On the front of pic,  close to us is where the door also is and there's 18 inches,  mattress to partial wall/door.  There are hooks on the wall which are usefull to hang jackets etc.  Otherwise,  it's pretty useless.  I can't sleep in there.  It's claustrophobic for me.  So…the cloth baskets.  and that one long tub of cloth.

The windows are good.  On all 3 sides.

in the next couple days i'll go to the storage unit and bring back another same tub.   Both tubs will become the seed greenhouse sprouting world.   little growing pots with seeds sitting in some kind of little trays on top of the tubs.  It'll work.

I swept and washed the floor at that 12 inch end of the bed.  Looked long,  and i can bring back  some of my books and whatever.  Books i think.  Alyssia's new Place has an attic.  The storage unit could be history after this month?  We'll see.  There's things in there that i can let go of.  I'd brought them imagining a different scenario.

Do the kiddo’s use the bed when they visit? would you be able to remove it and put a chair or two there? is there storage under the bed? yes, every inch counts and needs change, we can get by with so much less than we think as time goes by. The clear totes will make great seed starting homes.

I had the same question as Peggy. Can the mattress be removed. Floor space would be nice. a studio of sorts–but right now–a mini greenhouse. Next year I will send you information on growing your seeds in milk jugs. It’s how I do it. Little portable greenhouses that water themselves.
    And YES to the books!!!!

Grace, Wouldn’t it be cool if you could build a house out of local mud/clay. If the fires came they would only serve to harden and bake the clay and when the rains came they would wash right off of the hardened earth. Like living in a locally thrown pot. Just a wild thought for a wild woman.

Received the seeds I ordered this week…indigo and other dye plants, lettuce, beans, a few other things. It’s very cold here, still snow and possibly more but it will be time to plant soon.

yes…but now that they live 10 min away, that won’t
happen enough to be a consideration.
and really, to be honest, i keep wanting this place to
be clearly TEMPORARY. resist thinking about any big
    changes.
