Snow peas….Many blooms = Many pods = Joy

Jude is doodling.  Her thought catching.   I don't draw a lot for that purpose,  but sometimes it's perfect,  as in this page….So many more birds here this spring.  A finch flutters at the Morning Window all the time,  the pair of Morning Doves that Puppy hunts,  many now.  Some large,  as in bigger than a robin.  Birds are on my mind….i wanted to catch that thought.

Ah! Growing. Then eating. Tonight we have a frost warning here in Maine. We (mother father daughter) covered the peach trees–one tall/ one wide. Hoping to save the blossoms which haven’t opened yet. I would like to harvest a peach or two this year. One peach the first year. Zero last year.

from the seeds you sent. the cucumbers are up, the
patty pan squash growing vines. I eat the Arugula as i
give water to the dye garden indigo and madder…mouth fulls of it. Indigo and madder still so fragile, spindly from starting seed too soon in this travel trailer. But they are Alive, growing. Working at their Plantness
I send Vibes for the peach trees.

Birds on mine too….just a scant few here in Manhattan, but in Massachusetts where I was recently, hundreds! Your tendrils are twining so prettily and the drawings are swell.

Yesterday morning at breakfast, I looked down the hill at our tiny pond and saw movement on the far side. At first I thought it was the lone turkey hen that’s been hanging around the back yard, but the movement seemed a little off. I grabbed the binoculars and was pleased to see that we’ve attracted a great blue heron again. Oddly, no matter how he moved on the dam, he kept his face forward toward the pond – and the house. Then he dipped his head down to the ground, and oh my gosh the back of his head and shoulder feathers halfway down his body were bright pink! There are no flamingos in rural Missouri, but this guy was doing his best to pretend. I certainly hope he builds his nest in a tall tree around the pond and attracts a mate!

of it…maybe the Color is a spring thing, to, yes, attract
a mate…I am going to hope for this
