living by the SUN.  

wake before light.  Tea.  maybe 3 cups of.   Light,  then.  Sweep and wash the floor.  Hand laundry outside.  Hang.   Feed Goats,  down to give water to Wall Garden.  It might vary,  the wash floor part.  If not wash floor,  then clean bathroom sink.  or something,  maybe a couple windows.   But always sweep.  

Cook anything that might need cooking.

eat something while it's cooking.  often an egg from Talkie.  scrambled.  fried.  omlet.  depending.

the rest of the day as it is.  Who knows.

then Evening.  Feed Goats again.  Fill their water bowls.  Check on TenZen which requires spending time.  Every other day go to B Garden and tend.  Now,  hang out with Tazmeena.  

in between everything and anything,  touch scraps.  move them around.  see what they have to say.  Always Good conversation.

    Yes, the serious heat has arrived. I’m not a summer person. But it’s wonderful to see the tomatoes, plums and peaches ripening…and the coral rose bush in mad bloom. The lizards are about, as are the dragonflies, spiders and lesser goldfinches. Even a toad or two.

    We had heat and rain today. So humid. So many mosquitos. But Summer.
    I missed seeing the Women’s Soccer today. 15 to zero. Fierce.
    Planted seeds. No need to give water. Yesterday yes, today the sky watered.
    No walk. Dog is having difficulty breathing. Hope he can sleep.

    Checking in Grace. It was 104 in Davis today, but I do have electricity so I have fans going in all the rooms and keep the curtains pulled and the doors closed. Have put in a bit of a garden with help of a dear friend. While she cleans up her large garden, she digs up plants and brings them to me. She is my motivation for doing anything really. Trying to find a rhythm to my days. Haven’t gotten there yet. Like most I’m up and down – a lot of down. A friend from Paradise came for the weekend. It was good. I’ll be going up in a couple of weeks. I received a box of beautifully colored hand spun yarn recently. What a treat! I think it will weave up beautifully.

    it’s not ever much humid here. And this year SOME
    mosquitos because of that late stretch of Rain, but
    usually not many at all.
    i think of Riley a lot.

    weather here, summer weather is very similar to
    weather in New Mexico. Nothing new for me. You just
    be quiet mid to late afternoon. Sewing hours.

    yes…i am really lucky about sleep. I am a wreck
    when i can’t for some outer imposed reason.
    am a great sleeper. Sometimes now i wake and stay
    awake to experience the night things…
