Very good enough. and an errant snow pea vine had two of the most crisp and delicious snow peas Ever. I ate them on the spot….before taking a pic. Earth Feeds.
“earth feeds”…and in this collage challenge, these prompts from Acey, something else is getting fed within each of us. Sustenance coming from the simple act of seeing, ripping, cutting, placing and pasting – all to express an inner conversation. A conversation that, at times, offers up what matters to each of us and sometimes, just sometimes, this dialogue is in sync…
This morning I found myself responding to Acey’s 5th day prompt because she spoke of putting two subjects together and just maybe they would start a conversation. Foremost in many of our minds is the state of our world, the need to hold and protect, to heal and strengthen, to offer hope and tangible action. For you grace, a shelter and a healing touch, for me, nourishment from the land, butterflies in your collage, Judy Chicago’s butterfly in mine as well as bees, what our planet gives, how we are fed and in return, the longing to keep it going, to nurture, to cherish- it’s all part of an on-going universal conversation that begins in many ways. What I find so profound is that all it takes is a suggestion, scraps of paper and the desire as well as the need to, as an elderly Hawaiian neighbor used to tell me when I lived in Maui, the need to “talk story”.
