the gentleness of B garden.   What i guess is dappled.   In any direction,  always  branches,  leaves,  pine needles.

at A,  the Wall Garden…Full SUN.   Half way thru Giving Water,  i took off my dress,  dunked it in a bucket of water,  wrung it out and put it back on.  Sat a while,  my feet in the bucket.  It takes me 2 hours down there.   I realized i've never lived in this kind of Heat…even N. Mex desert,  not this much…today 106…going up through next Tuesday when it is forecast at 110.  The Malabar Spinach grows,  unlike the squash plants,  never wilting.  Was listed in the catalog under Heat Tolerant.  this is true.  Is thriving so far.

Love the hazy colors of that bottom image. I spent a week in Eastern WA one summer when it was over 100 degrees everyday. Not my kind of weather. We might hit 90 today, I’m considering filling a dish pan with water and sitting on the porch with my feet in it…

I used to bring either a lawn chair or an inner tube and sit in the river for hours in the shallows reading a book. It helps get through the rest of the day. And night.
I thought about doing a gravity fed drip watering system this year. Got two barrels for rain water. Lots of used oxygen tubing. Didn’t get to it yet but I figure any little bit helps. Have you tried olla pots? The Malibar Spinich looks good. Have you eaten any?

I can imagine the soothing feel of your cold wet dress… We lived in Nebraska one summer, every day over 100 w/heavy humidity. Love your cloth gathering, especially the top- the arc with the floating scraps within.

This heat is unusually high. Staying wet and hydrated is so helpful. If you go into town, get block ice for a foot tub like Deb. I usually get my hair wet. I love your wetting clothing idea. Does A have AC?
Your garden is thankful and thriving under your care.
