Plant has totally reconfigured her Self.   Bees came today.   Many.   A Hollyhock seed is up as are both kinds of SunFlower that Emrie planted.   The snap peas.   not all of them….     I finally planted the Moringa and Red Malabar that i had soaked as advised and probably too late.  But i planted them nonetheless.   Will begin the initial Soak process on new seeds tomorrow.

I gave the morning and evening penicillin injections.   And as i KEEP LEARNING,   our fears are almost always larger than the reality.   it went well.   He only flinched.   I love him more than i knew i did.

the Animal Control person called.   Dog is identified.   is habitual.   How can i tell this in 5 words or less…..  the person who is on record as owning the dog came and identified and surrendered.     She is the mother to an adult child who actually owns both dogs.   She said she has paid thousands of dollars in restitution through the courts on behalf of this adult child.  She is done.

the name and address of the Adult Child are now known to Animal Control.  How it goes from there i don't know.   The second dog i will assume ran home.   Animal Control officer said that that address is not Far away,  but also not close.     And so it goes.

I am exhausted.  Making mistakes here i don't know how to fix so i am going to be Done for today.

Good news that Animal Control seems to be prioritizing this scary situation. I feel for the mother as I have had friends in similar situations .. it’s heartbreaking. Good going on giving the shots .. as always I think you’re amazing.

so glad Animal Control gave you information … hoping the second dog will soon be found and likewise “surrendered” … enabling rarely if ever works, but it’s got to be hard when it’s your “kid”

May today go easy. Sunny Ray is on the mend, you have dog info and if you can, walk among the plant people.Your Spanish lavender plant is outstandingly beautiful.
Snow again here overnight but will get warmer as the week progresses and amazingly, the Egyptian walking onions are holding on. didn’t expect the snow last night so didn’t cover but 5 plants still standing! Hardy little plants. Seed planting, hopefully, this weekend, in little peat pots indoors.

So glad Sunny Ray is healing well. My heart has been & continues to be with you during these stressful times. Glad the dogs are identified & hope a solution will be found for the other one before he causes more harm. (A friend once had many of her sheep slaughtered by a pack of neighborhood dogs.) I’m glad you are resting into the green surprises of Spring! I’ve started my Hopi sunflowers in grow-cups & they’ve spread their lovely green wings to bask in the sun. Thank you so much, Grace, for mentioning these dye plants in your blog. I’m hoping they’ll be ready to harvest before we move across town in August, but if not, I’ll somehow include a clause in our sales contract to allow me to return for the seeds! 🙂

When I still worked in the greenhouse one of the owner’s boys came often with two pit bull mixes. Pit and Rotweiler. sorry for the spelling.
Everyone was terrified. They ran all over. But they were good dogs..raised with kindness. Still we were told not to touch them. Owner would say- “hands up” Sigh.

(grace) You depleted your adrenaline reserves. Another version of running out of spoons. Be kind to yourself. I had a diabetic cat many years ago. Learned to fearlessly give injections and did it for 5 years. Once you get the rhythm it is actually easier on all concerned than giving pills or liquid meds. Maybe Animal Control can help you get the vet bills covered. Love.
