the first Manzanita i saw was in Oregon.   And like here,  on this Hill,   a small tree.   Old.  But small.   Here,  in comparison to the Oaks that prevail,  the Pine.

Not yesterday.  as if a different world.   the word….Biome.

Emrie was here,  so there was that but in the under current,   images of yesterday….that Forest.    and tonight…Surreal.

the remembering,  the re~seeing.   I NEED more.   To understand EARTH.    the really true Magnificence  of it.   If for nothing else than to say…..I saw.   I felt.

The middle photo’s tree looks like it’s about to swat at something or walk away.

I don’t think I have enough space, (I already have five trees on this old city lot) but I’d like to try growing a manzanita. I love gnarly tree trunks and what I read says hummingbirds like their flowers.
I think I understand what you mean about needing more, understanding Earth. I want to be one with Gaia. It seem that’s what we’re meant to be, why we return to earth at death…because we’re meant to be one with her while we are alive. It’s a longing.

we are. All just a drip of water and that is enough. To have the happy feeling….that is enough.

if you were there, you would feel the sense of
mutuality, of inter dependence. No swatting, no walking away.

i am understanding that it’s all There/Here. OPEN to and
for and with us. We simply need to allow it in.
a willingness on our part to feel it.

There are a few areas that they grow here…you are right, very local to where they want to grow. I love them.

YES!! Everything is HERE. Everywhen is NOW. I think the more able to absorb that reality, the more we become ONE.
Manzanita do grow in Oregon, but this (Willamette Valley) probably isn’t the right part of the state.
