words are BeautyFull.  Language is BeautyFull.   between those who speak that same.      for whom the words have shared meaning.   What if you are communicating with

Those

who do not speak the same?

some  Thing   Else is required.    Space.   a kind of Whole Being Felt Sense   [Eugene Gendlin]   that can give Rise to

communication….sharing.   Sharing.        For that           Well Being of the Whole.

this image … the fluidity of it, of light and glass … and how it echoes my making right now, limning patches of cloth, recalling the foam that forms at the edge of the sea, the waves endlessly breaking and shifting it into infinite patterns of light

Today, 8 am, standing in front of my Trust cloth, attached to the grape vine, Trust Time. Thinking about how we use words to share, connect, communicate but how nature gives us all of that, simply by being and in so doing, communicates a sense of comfort that goes far beyond words.
Across the little fence separating my yard from the next complex, a riot of weeds, grasses, leaves, wild nature in an urban setting. My yard is contained, not by me but by those who came before, by our landlord, no wild grasses, a few weeds, the land covered by gravel. The only planted thing is the grapevine. Across the way, sumac trees, and a vast complex yard that is an exuberant patch of wild growth and I find that comforting, I find that trust worthy. When my son-in-law was here, he stood for a while looking at that patch and happily noticed butterflies and a humming bird.
Here is communication, conversation without words and I think of a quote from the late environmentalist, Rachel Carson who said:
“The pleasures, the values of contact with the natural world, are not reserved for the scientists. They are available to anyone who will place himself under the influence of a lonely mountain top — or the sea — or the stillness of a forest; or who will stop to think about so small a thing as the mystery of a growing seed.”
