moving toward Equinox. to give water at 7pm is now too late…or…..maybe not….there is a certain kind of Peace, to finish in darkness , walk back in the dark. Especially these kind of days.

the lessening of the light … sad in a way, but less sun = less heat in the long run … may that happen sooner rather than later in your part of the world
and I love this: to give water

I love dusk. It’s still pretty hot up here on the mountain. We had one day where there was a cool breeze for awhile….I felt like a new person outside.

The only reason I can’t give water at dusk is that I get eaten alive by mosquitoes. Otherwise that is such a lovely time to be out.

Such a calm in this pic. I’m with Faith…not a good time for me to be out…but oh, how I love a warm summer night! they bring back such fond memories of my childhood 🙂

The heat made those goats get up to things!! lol
The pics, next post where comments are turned off…I’m saying anyway. The first one, just is…like an introduction: This is How It Is.
The second one, the heat came blasting in, taking over really, becoming All there is.
The third one is the relief of change, some cooling, perhaps some rain.
of course, I like them all and I think to self, perhaps this I could do. 🙂 xo

Drawing down of season is very noticeable here too. I love how that bowl catches and holds light. Hope you are staying cool.

that and the lack of humidity are the saving graces of
this Place.
there are mosquitoes, but very few? or is it the bats
each evening and the myriads of dragonflies all day?
but few
and unlike ones of my childhood in Michigan, these
itch only for a few hours and then are gone.
thinking about it…i think it’s really that there just
is NO MOISTURE here….in the forest…none at this point. Except in the Garden….
and down, along the creek.
if the Goat water tubs are now changed every other day,
there will be the little swimmers….
but still. never enough to discourage being OUT.
