too much Sad?

i just wasn't going to talk about this.   Just…..keep it to my Self   because of too much Sad      for a blog.   

but then,   it's kept bothering me.   Does not Honor her…. Arctica.    Alyssia's Goat.   Daughter of OOna.

we were blindsided.   This shouldn't have been true,  but it was.   Oona was buried Monday the 8th.     Arctica went into the Rain House and layed down and  died.    the night of the 9th.     I am not going to tell the story of that.   Just putting it here,  because we loved her.  Because she lived 13 years,  Beauty Full and fiercely independent Goat.   

and i almost forgot…..      Today something of great majesty occurred.    The bottom tier of the Iron Gate Dam,  of the Klamath River,   Siskiyou County   California   was drilled through….OPENED and the river flowed for the first time in a century.   One of 3 dams to be removed.   Their associated reservoirs approximately 1,300 acres will be revegitated and restored to provide critical riparian habitat.   The short Youtube  will make you cry with Love.

    On first reading, I thought of tears and running, freed, water; one a release that cleanses and allows our sadness to flow. The other, equally a release that flows into expansion and new beginnings.
    The shock and poignancy of Arctica’s death surely increases the sadness of these days…to acknowledge all of this sadness is to know that the dead was loved and will always hold a place of honor in the story of our life…the whole of our life.

    So sorry to hear of Arctica’s death. Whether expected or not, loss is always difficult and sad. Thank you for sharing. A blog becomes a history of our lives, and the sad is as much a part of it as the joys. We care.

    sometimes i can be about patience and realizing…sometimes
    there just is no balance….2 dead Goats in 3 days and in this
    moment as i type, the Others out there, needing to be
    fed and it’s pouring RAIN…all the patience and realizing
    in the world will not find balance
    it’s a matter of Living Life on Life’s Terms. of the
    As Is and simply waiting Through, knowing there is
    Change…maybe that’s what you are thinking about when
    you say patience…

    Grace~ I’m so glad you put this here, so we can move through this time together. Reading in black and white…one after the other, so close together makes me wonder about the why, the connection (if any).
    May Arctica’s memory be a blessing.
    I heard stories on the radio about the Dam…amazing.
