for the most part,  this is how it is.   GREEN.    more than ever before.   Many of the grasses i had become familiar with are not so much.   Others are More.   Different wild plants have taken center stage while others that were in profusion are not.    These last days the Goats,  for the first time EVER,     have not come for morning hay.  I call them,  they don't come.    They're gone….off….here and there….they Browse.  On Their Own.    they WANT   what's     Out There.        A different year.   WAY more Rain.   Things are happening.    i am trying to notice without knowing.   without needing to Know.

and the Friends,   the morning Lizards,  Uno and Dos         continue to come.    i get to Jack's  gate,  lean into the Sun   and call out to them…..Friends!   Hello!    and after some moments……Ta DA…..there!   One then Two      we continue.

I love the lizard I have that you stitched .. I have it pinned on a bulletin board that hangs above my sewing machine along with so many amazing treasures made from this beautiful circle of warm talented generous group I am so so blessed to have in my life. I marvel at how many years it’s now been .. and yet I know many of you have journeyed together a lot longer. Love seeing all the bright green colors of spring and reading how the goats are lovin it .. do they then not eat hay all summer??
Here we’re expecting a big snowstorm .. since I’m still dog sitting with no place I need to go I’ll marvel at how beautiful it looks knowing that it’ll quickly melt with the warmer weather we’ve been having.

this is very different, so i don’t know
but soon, there will no longer be rain. things will
DRY. i’m guessing this might continue for just some days.
am very interested to watch. Today they came for some.
i will imagine you and your dog watching the snowflakes fall, I smile at this
    LOVE to you, Tina

yes….i watch closely and write notes…
odd things…like how there is usually such a profusion of Miner’s Lettuce…so you would think…even More So, but
no…very little. ??? and the RattleSnake Grass…where’s it gone? the best way i have of witnessing is to take
    the photographs….
you would think more moisture means MORE but this does not
seem to be so. and i try to understand that “things” are not according to neat yearly season…ie calendar months…but
are part of a flow of being that goes from what was to
what is now to what might seed and then become….all one
movement, the “degrees” of which depend on what has come before…and maybe the Before the last before? what all the plants have in their Memory, their repertoires of generations ?
