the smallest lizard i have ever seen.    Tiny.    just in front of Jack's water tub,  so     NEAR   me….approaching me and then,  skittering away'

    We’ve had a population explosion of 5-lined skinks this summer. I’ve kept a plate of rocks and fresh water near our back door for butterflies, bees, and small creatures. The skinks are so fast. I love seeing that flash of blue tail. And yes, some so tiny!

    yes, but as i am coming to learn, lizard
    is RARE
    in the state of New York
    i am still learning
    here…there are both. the skinks are MAGIC to me
