so,   we wonder.   Nancy…Pomegranate Trail. blogspot.com   and probably all of us.   Blogging is kinda old fashioned,  right?  i think so.    and i wondered again today…When Was It?,  that i decided to post every day?   and what was my reasoning   at that time?

so i went to the Archives to try to find an answer and pretty quickly couldn't…got to 2/2013 and no answer yet and it takes a LOT of battery for that kind of thing  and i saw so much of the Other Life i had that quickly pulled me in to a deep nostalgia which wasn't where i was intending to go

i think i remember it as…..There's SomeThing.   Some Thing.  every day.   that is Beauty Full or just        noteworthy,

and to honor that…to "say" it,   every day.  ????   Something like that?

and i think….today….is this not still true?

this little acorn…interrupted….right outside the door …..              had it continued as it  "should",,  would be 3 times as big   but it didn't,  it fell for some reason      but,   just outside the door and i saw it first thing this morning

in it's Perfection

Grace~ Okay, well I tried, but could not find it either! I attacked it by finding when I started reading/commenting, because I remember you talking about that. I may have missed it, but I did not find it in 2011 and some of 2010…but, I found so many memories and so much to treasure. Here are just a few snippits.
That was fun, bittersweet and good. You were about the age I am now. ha

I remember when you set up your blog; you and Nandas. You had found Jude and you said it was to help you document your cloth work. When did it become a daily posting? I think as you continued with this new way of cloth making, which to me has always been about story telling, the wholeness of your life simply became a part of it all. You, a solitary woman, wrote about the realness of your life, your family, especially the land in which you described yourself as a member of the lizard clan, a resident of the substation known as Polvadera. You wrote of the elements, the winds of New Mexico, your dogs, Fiona, your guinea fowl, Tomasina, your cat and later, the goats. you wrote of what you planted and nurtured on your land, the olive tree, the apricot tree, your flowers, your compost piles, that my husband used to lvoe to turn over when we visited. You shared the books that mattered to you, your Buddhism, your experiences before coming to New Mexico…In other words, you shared your life with us and often, it manifested itself in your cloth work. All of this became a portal to opening yourself to connection and reciprocity and so it goes to this day and we are all the richer for it…and knowing you as I do, do not make light of what I have said here, you have a hard time accepting a compliment and I do not give them easily so when I do, it matters, at least to me!

this was a fun challenge for my librarian-self … to find the source of your daily practice
so I posed a series of search queries and slowly worked my way back to your original intention …
https://windthread.typepad.com/windthread/2015/01/first-day.html (although this is not the first day of your daily blog practice)
    https://windthread.typepad.com/windthread/2014/03/three-hundred-and-sixty-five.html
    https://windthread.typepad.com/windthread/2013/03/31-days-a-full-month-of-every-day.html
    https://windthread.typepad.com/windthread/2013/03/living-is-wierd-saskia-van-herwaarden.html
and I’m thinking it would be interesting, if typepad enables it, to set the ARCHIVES display so that the number of posts is displayed for each month … to show quite graphically how true you have been to your intention for more than a decade

Looking back is always interesting in all the different emotions that come to the surface. For whatever reason you started blogging I’m just grateful you did … you helped open a world for me that continues to influence me every day in how I see the world around me. I see the smallest things in people … in places and things that fill me with warmth and wonder 😘 I’m grateful!!

Agreeing with Yvette, “ you changed my life with your daily posts”. I began reading sometime in New Mexico. I loved the art and the goats and the “old cowboy” days. You helped me through a difficult transition. When you moved to California, I moved with you and was familiar with the area of your new home
Now, I binge read nights by someone’s bedside. I moved to Nevada, reassuring myself that if Grace could move herself and goats and dogs and kittens across the country, I really could survive one state over. Everyday you remind me to look closely, be present and feel my life as is speeds by, and I am grateful beyond measure ❤️

That last post in Liz’s links (thanks Liz!) is the one I was remembering. A year of science. I think I remember you also saying “and no BS” near this time. 3/3/13. Over 10 years ago. And here we are. If this is same old, same old may it continue. This is community in the best sense.

Yes, I was already reading (for quite some time) when you packed up the goats….and headed to California.I found you from comments you made on Jude’s blog and I have been reading your words ever since.
You sent me that special woven cloth so I could use it as the middle layer of small works….I still have some..one of these days you will actually buy and install a solar panel on the roof of your home and power things up…..One of these Days…I will get a new desk top computer…. who am I kidding- we will both never change.

I just started reading your blog regularly a few years ago. I love you and your writing. This look-back (thanks, Liz) has been amazing and enlightening. I want to read more of the past, but for sure I will stay focused on the present as you are teaching me to do.
