cursive. One thing wikipedia says is that cursive is a style of penmanship in which characters are written joined in a flowing manner generally for the purpose of making writing faster. Not so much in the beginning.

Not so much in the beginning… I’m so glad you get to revisit life through a 7 year old’s eyes. And I’m so glad they still teach this at her school. I kind of remember how hard this was. Griping the pencil, trying, erasing, smudging my paper until it was almost torn. I didn’t get a lot of Ds in grade school but I did get at least one in writing.

Oh I’m so very happy to see this! Her curls and concentration are priceless. I’m so happy her school is still teaching cursive, not something to get lost along the way (I think). She did great on her name! Yay Emrie!

Yes. It was a Third Grade thing when my children were young. My sister has used the “Handwriting Without Tears’ program over the years.
