ADD ON

this is a couple hours later.     I realize that these posts recently are kind of,  uhhhh,   lacking.   But there's nothing i can do about that.   Just is how it is.   I won't make things up.    If there's  nothing,   then,  well….

so i'm here at the table and i nodded off.   and then…a few minutes ago,  woke .     Listened.  Checked the time.  9  something.  Sat…listening.    There is an OWL.    just right here…in the morning tree.   WHY?,  too close…shouldn't be so close but is and i worry about  Puppy.   I breathe.   Listen more and here they come…that pack of coyotes and Minnow leaps into action and barks barks and as has happened recently,  the barks extend out into Howls,   better even than the coyotes  and that hound,  the large hound  that runs now and then is running tonight down near/far at the highway and baying.  A plane overhead.  I'm going to go out and walk.

Things in the night, sounds in the dark…
We saw two dead coyotes on our short drive today. The interface with human here does not bode well for them.
Just being here, conversing is very good.

The night is alive. I haven’t been able to get myself to go on night walks, but I aspire to.

Your tadpole has lots of friends: today NPR on line has an article about the 2024 wildlife photo winners and the big winner is a photo taken in Vancouver, British Colombia, titled, The Swarm of Life, The photo is wondrous, featuring toad tadpoles.
