N  California Yurok tribe reclaims sacred land.  More than  17,000 acres around the Kalamath River  returned to be the Blue Creek Salmon Sanctuary.

    This! This gives me so much hope for the “future”. I grew up spending every Summer on the Klamath and having it returned to it’s rightful heir is something I didn’t think I would live to see

    good news here, too … the Tonkawa have reclaimed Sugarloaf Mountain, which they call Red Mountain, Naton Samox
