this last week,  the 27th,  there was an email from Typepad Service which appeared ordinary.      it wasn't.

quote:     We want to inform you that we have made the difficult decision to discontinue Typepad,  effective September 30, 2025.  After September 30, 2025  access to Typepad will no longer be available.  Your account and all related services will be permanently deactivated.  Please note that after this date, you will no longer be able to access  or export any blog content.

unquote.

i don't know what to think and for sure,  what to DO.   and it comes at the time of all these changes here.  things blur.

    Grace~ I thought about that for you, how the typepad thing is falling onto the home thing…and then I thought that they each use a different kind of brain/body power and a different time of day (can be done in light/dark) – (perhaps). Focusing on one of them at a time…don’t know?
    I’ve also considered what it would be like to have it all disappear (if it were me). I thought how I always thought mine would be there “forever” 😂 so if my family ever grew into wanting to know this part of me or the family stories I’ve told, they could. Hysterical.
    Now I’m thinking that after 14 years, maybe I’ll go quiet or start something new and way more simple, different. Don’t know about that either.
    Oh, the times we live in.

    PS The photo of you in NM and the daughter cloth and the ladder and the stories that went with that are forever in my head, not lost yet – hopefully ever.
    We sure have traveled a good old trail together 💕

    Even with the movie reel in my head of your fifteen years of sharing your life here in this place, how, in my mind, I can call up certain times of being with you in New Mexico, certain monumental times of your life there, the thought of windthread blowing into the wind, is such a loss. So many times, since I heard the news of typepad, I wanted to send a note but did not want to intrude into the momentum that is now on the Hill, your home, coming to be more than a dream, becoming a reality. Waited to see if you would say about this…I wish I had answers for you; thought well Alyssia can help transfer content but then thought, maybe it is not what you want…so querida, I can only offer my deepest gratitude and love for what has been shared, the lessons you have taught us on how to live a life that you have often said is simple but to me, has always been rich in meaning; living your life with intention, honor and realness.

    OMG how I will miss you … let me count the ways. My number one teacher of how to live with intention and gratitude. To really look and appreciate what I see no matter how small. It is you Grace that got me to STOP and smell the roses.

    Waw… i know this was IS comming , i a strang way it will help us … even it hurts even we do not like’t
    we have recieved the lessons and shared with eachother , so it helped me/us , the you me us family from over the ocean , i’ll never forget you ( even what you decide to do with blog ) me as a person will this always be there on my pc ,
    it is not needed to go on with the past , what we knew … we remember and make a choice to hold or let go ; i know i we will miss the usual way of handle , the spupport the bessing words the comfort the love vibe’s .

    You and Deb G and Jude and Dana and Hazel, who already walked away from Typepad, but whose content was and is still there … each of you have influenced my life in cloth so profoundly and I hate to see the years of thought-full posts disappear
    But as others have said, we hold in our memories the makings and doings that most moved us … and like a little death, we will mourn that we can no longer see them on our glowing screens, but live in the moment and continue to create

    Gulp… we know platforms on the Internet can go away, but still take the risk… and everything seems fine and trustworthy, until… this. I am truly glad I got to know you here, Grace, and hope you will find another place to continue your story.

    The oxygen feels very thin at this moment. This place with you has given me so much Grace. I can only hope that the Universe that provided my time in New Mexico and then Northern CA, and goats, and dogs and beautiful children and so much wisdom from you will somehow keep providing. I will miss you terribly and wait for you to return . Thank you for all that you have given you were there when I needed Grace.

    Yeah, this Typepad dissolution is bad news to me, but it has energized me to continue blogging, which I have let slide in recent years. The people on-line just mean too much for me to let go. I hope you will also continue, as I have been following you for many years now. I want to see you settle into your new house. Thank you for all you have shared….much love.
