i’d so much loved Deb G’s Good Enough quilt…..this goes back to it’s beginning and the date on Faith’s Map is 2022 ….when i decided i wanted to try. Soon realized that my brain does not do well with straight stitched edges and geometrics…could not envision them enough to enlist the helo of my hands and back at Typepad, i must complained or been sad about this

Faith to the rescue

and i made many spiral cabin squares, enough to put together, but no surface enough to get a sense of how that might go…and anyway….was made ready for possible evacuation by finding it’s place out in the ready to GO of the vehicle. There’s a wall here, a floor, and a feeling of “now or never”. Blanket is in and there are good days ahead for some comfort of the stitch.

I’m happy that my simple drawing made it clear for you. It’s going to be a beautiful quilt.

I’ve only made one quilt to a pattern and monkeyed with that along the way. After that, I could never commit to a grid again. Your spiral log cabin squares are such a familiar comfort.

Enjoy the unfolding and Merry Christmas!
