on the first of the slope down into the Doe Forest. In places, like ground cover but everywhere, green of the "winter" plants, where just over a week ago had been only the wheat yellow and brown of dry grass and pine needles. Up, along the side of the road up, everywhere scatterings of the tiny 2 birth leaves of something else…green. I don't remember it being quite like this. But maybe it's that i've learned to See better.
some sky, some earth
the first real night/day of Rain Season. all night. through morning. till around 1:30 Nothing but RAIN. then, off and on drizzle, overcast, Brilliant moments of SUNLIGHT.
Holding Space. This space of two Magic Ribbons. As I go "out there", take my mind out there, looking for any ways to go forward, it's grim. but I have this place now. to return to. I can come back, for rest, for comfort, For Joy. For the Basic Goodness that Chogyam Trungpa taught. the Wren and Others will preside.

and then I thought ….we need to be here, holding space, having held space for the Children. and so we go.

I tried to go look for……..glimmers of light….but it wasn't working. I cooked. Hamburger Delux and french fries. Ate. Slept. There was caring for Goats. Throwing ball for Minnow twice. otherwise, sleeping. or, lying there, waiting for sleep. Oddly, the dreams are great.
i didn't think it would be easy. but I didn't think it would be ……what it was……. Had gotten an email from PAWS Promotion of Animal Welfare Society, a non profit organization whose mission is to prevent animal suffering the local HUGE animal spay and neuter people, appointments months in ahead…..vaccination days….a prerequisite of the spay clinic and we WENT. me and Minnow. Arrived within the appointed hours . Ten minutes in and ended up 3 almost 4 hours later until we signed out. First come first serve. But
but the time I spent. those hours….all the others in the two waiting rooms and on the chairs outside. An unexpected gift. on this election eve when the anxiety rolls high, there….at this Vet Clinic….was all. ALL. kind. Kind. Friendliness…neighborness. GOODNESS. People having to wait. Having to sit together and talking and laughing and exchanging. We were great. We were people, having to wait, having to sit together, talking and laughing, exchanging and when that was finally done, there was 8 minutes to make it to the Butte County Hall of Records
I like to go THE DAY but because of this dog stuff….there I was and I made it IN TIME

i don't know what to say. it is a repetition from that image the other day on the tag. i liked it so much. Here, on a card stock blank greeting card. And I still like it so much, maybe even more because it opens so much possibility.
these two "magic ribbons" acting as a kind of uhhhhh, frame? for whatever might appear? it could be anything, inside two magic ribbons ?????????????? and the space of the card….enough but not too much small drawings can be here of things I might want to be held by two magic ribbons
