i had wanted to collage the Whole wall cloth.  I'd found a couple folders of Pics.   But i got this far and knew i couldn't.  The weight of the canvas causes a thing to go on with my wrist when i try to penetrate it with straight pins.  And i couldn't find the CENTRAL image.  I'd found it yesterday,  but gone again.  So i take it as….enough.  For now.

Alyssia came to go  fill the propane tanks.  Emrie stayed here and  taught me how to play this board game that was a home school Christmas present.  She doesn't really know,  but also doesn't know she doesn't really know.  Once again…Your turn,  old nana.  My turn now.   We are very into taking turns.

isn’t it? I’d not known the game. The stones are agate. There’s one Emrie calls the rainbow stone.
Well…a 2 year old taking turns…she likes to dictate who’s turn it is. I am tired of taking turns and she says NO. Your Turn! and stares. i take my turn.

my collage stuff is in a big box. I have felt the pull back to paper for some time now. working late at night mostly, just me and paper.
Taking turns is a big thing to learn, it is so much a common sense.

Grace~ I can’t tell you how much I love this! in my work world, I am always trying to explain turn taking VS “Sharing”. Parents want their little ones to ‘share’ – but on their (the parents’) terms, not the child’s. Turn taking, such an important skill! I too can feel the lovely, respectful relationship you two have. What a treasure. And mancala…so huge when I worked with school age children…making up rules seems much more fun though!

Emrie understands that instinctively and i learn from her.
She loves the thing of Taking Turns.
we will learn the RULES from Julian. Emrie will play as she can. But just the physical beauty of it is enough.
