We eat with our eyes first and my eyes love this; I would eat this for breakfast. We ate a lot of garbanzos growing up. My Mom cooked them with the onion, garlic and herbs grown from their garden. My Dad would surprise here with the picked herbs, always we had parsley and either oregano or basil in the dish as well as chorizo or slices of Italian sausage. My parents liked to cook together so Dad would always add one final touch to this garbanzo stew- a few squirts of homemade red wine from his Bota bag which always caused my Mom’s eyes to roll!
